Alcoans celebrate inclusion at annual Pride Parade in Australia

At Alcoa, we’re building an everyone culture. Not only can you grow at Alcoa, but you can also belong. Donning high-vis, hard hats and glitter and proudly flying rainbow flags, our Western Australian employees celebrated respect and diversity at the 2021 annual Pride WA Pride Parade.

Thousands turned out to show their support including members of Alcoa’s inclusion group,  EAGLE (Employees at Alcoa for LGBT+ Equality). The team has walked in the parade for 7 years now, after being the first resources company to march in 2014. Alcoa has also been a supporting partner of Pride WA since 2019.

In recognition of the good work we do in the LGBTQI+ space, in 2021 Alcoa was again named a Bronze Tier Employer in the Australian Workplace Equality Index Awards, the national benchmarking instrument for LGBTQI+ workplace inclusion.
