Vice President, Transformation​

Rob is currently Vice President of Transformation for Alcoa and has management responsibility for the Company’s portfolio of curtailed or closed mining, refining, or smelting assets. This presently includes 22 locations in 7 countries. The Group’s mission is to determine the best disposition of these assets, via divestiture or redevelopment with a focus on ensuring the Company’s environmental and social obligations are met. The Group also has responsibility for environmental remediation projects at the Company’s active operations.

Prior to his current role, he served as Vice President, Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) for Alcoa Inc.’s Global Primary Product (GPP) business from 2011 through June 2014. In this role, he was responsible for providing direct input into the overall business strategy and improving regional EHS systems, processes and resources for the Company’s mines, refineries, and smelters. From 2005 – 2011, Rob served as Alcoa Inc’s Global Environmental Director where he was responsible for the Company’s strategic environmental direction, policies, and standards.

Rob joined Alcoa Inc. in 2000 as Director of Remediation Operations responsible for managing the Company’s environmental liabilities at over 130 active, inactive, or previously owned locations. Prior to joining Alcoa in 2000, Rob spent 15 years in the environmental engineering and consulting business, providing remediation and site restoration services to industrial clients throughout North America.
