Alcoa obtains Platinum sustainability rating from EcoVadis
The recognition places Alcoa in the top 1% of the 90,000 companies assessed by EcoVadis.
Alcoa Corporation has earned the highest rating possible in the most recent supplier scorecard released by EcoVadis, the world’s most trusted provider of business sustainability ratings for global supply chains.
The platinum rating puts Alcoa in the top 1 percent of companies across more than 200 industries globally.
“The EcoVadis Platinum rating is the result of concerted action by our teams to improve our performance across our supply chain,” said Mateus Tiraboschi, Vice President of Global Procurement at Alcoa. “This recognition marks an important milestone in Alcoa’s ongoing efforts to reinvent the aluminum industry for a sustainable while delivering strong results across the board.”
Alcoa has been assessed and recognized by EcoVadis as an outstanding supplier since 2018. For four consecutive years, the Company received gold level ratings for its sustainability efforts, placing it in the top 2 percent of companies evaluated worldwide.

To date, EcoVadis has evaluated more than 95,000 companies against a framework based on global sustainability standards. Each scorecard highlights a company’s performance across 21 industry-relevant indicators in four key areas: Environment, Labor & Human Rights, Ethics, and Sustainable Procurement. To ensure reliability, the assessments are supervised by an independent committee of sustainability and supply chain experts.
