Indigenous scholarship winners embrace opportunities
Nine Indigenous students from Kwinana’s Gilmore College have been awarded scholarships as part of a program supported by Alcoa’s Kwinana Refinery. The scholarships, totalling $15,000, were awarded to students in years 7 to 12 under the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Student Excellence Scholarship Program to assist with their ongoing education at Gilmore College.

Scholarship recipients announced to celebrate International Women in Engineering Day
To celebrate International Women in Engineering Day on 23 June 2023, Alcoa has announced the recipients of its 2023 Alcoa Bev Corless Women in Engineering Scholarships. Shannon Henderson and Carynne Koh will each receive a total of $20,000 over two years to help with their engineering studies at WA’s Curtin University, as well as having the opportunity to undertake work experience at Alcoa’s bauxite mines and alumina refineries in the south west of the State.
